Construction Testing Labs

A need became very apparent in the 1960s in the southwest Missouri area for construction materials testing and construction observation. As a result, Wright-Weeks, Inc., later to become Anderson Engineering, established the first construction materials testing laboratory in the Springfield area. The foundation of these initial services was concrete and soil testing for construction projects in the area, focused around construction of the James River Power Station. Construction Materials Testing and Observation services are still a very important part of the construction process, so we provide services including:

  • Concrete and Masonry
  • Soil and Rock
  • Aggregate
  • Asphaltic Concrete
  • Structural Steel and Welds
  • Special Inspections and Construction Observation

The materials testing laboratories in Springfield and Joplin provide a full line of soil testing services, including triaxial consolidation and permeability testing.
